Original 6th plate daguerreotype. Boy with lightly tinted face and hands, painted gold pinkie ring, seated in front of a nice bright backdrop. Dag is in full intact leather case. The glass is very tight inside of the case and I couldn't remove it, so I can't remember if it's sealed or not. I think I might have resealed it but it's been years and I can't make any promises. Or it might have the original seals intact.. can't remember! However the dag is in excellent condition. There is a missing piece in the cover glass, bottom-right corner, probably from somebody trying and failing to take the glass off!
