Original 1840s quarter-plate daguerreotype of a pretty woman holding a fan, taken by McClees & Germon - their black and gold Philadelphia studio label is on the bottom edge of the mat.

The original note affixed to the pad reads, "Aunt Annie died Dec. the 11, 1886".

Dag is in full leather case with separated covers. Dag is in very good condition with a few tiny mat abrasions right up against the mat edge. No other issues. It has been resealed and new glass has been put on.. a note on the seals shows that this work was done in September 1994.
