Ninth-plate, early-1860s ambrotype of a little boy posed in a chair. He is wearing a white dress, with dark / black ribbons attached to the shoulders, and his eyes are partially open. This is a clear glass ambrotype behind original mat, with black paper inside of the case to bring the image out. The emulsion side of the ambrotype is facing down, so its protected, but there is still a scratch and light surface wear, as shown. The case is complete with separated covers.
