Quarter-plate daguerreotype of a man and woman by Root, Philadelphia. They are not identified but based on other ID'd images from the same estate, they were likely members of the Swartley family of Bucks County, PA, who were Mennonites.
Dag is in full case that has light leather wear. Case is complete and intact with both clasps and no repairs.
Dag has broken seals.. might have been resealed at one point. It's a very sharp and clear image in overall very good condition, although there is one light, short swipe in the very upper-right corner.. you have to tilt the image around a bit to see it.
