Circa 1861-1862 1/6 tintype of two men, father and son according to the inked inscription, and a loose 1/6 daguerreotype, in a double union beehive case. The sailor could be Frank A. Currier, born 1846 in Brewer, Maine, who was a sailmaker in USN during the Civil War, and after. If it is the same Frank, he died in 1870 of consumption.
Tintype is behind mat and cover glass with the original photographer's studio card behind the image, and is in very good or better antique condition with some minor mat abrasions. The loose daguerreotype was originally behind the tintype, on top of the studio card for some reason. It's tarnished and has condition issues, but I can tell from a certain angle that it was a young woman.
The union case is in very good antique condition with only a couple of minor chips. It doesn't click closed but the hardware looks intact and fine.
Boxed shipping.
