Original 1/9 "sphereotype" ambrotype of a woman seated in a fancy gothic style chair.
If you look close you can see she is wearing a photographic or painted portrait brooch.
This is an earlier ambrotype with the image sealed between two sheets of glass which
have been sealed together with adhesive.. this sometimes causes "air pockets" visible
between the sheets - see photo #2.
Housed in its original thermoplastic case that appears to be in excellent condition... I
did not notice any damages or even tiny nicks - take a look at my pics and see if you
can spot anything that I missed. The case clicks and stays closed.
