Late-1840s quarter-plate dag of a Virginia man, by the photographer William Abbott Pratt, who was famously
known for having photographed writer Edgar Allan Poe in his Richmond studio.
Dag has a tarnish ring and small scattered mold spiders but no abrasions or other damage noted. It has been resealed with archival tape, with bits of the original seals inside. It's in its original leather case which is in overall very good antique condition though the covers are separated along the spine.
