Sixth-plate daguerreotype of Mrs. Catherine Wagner accompanied by a note: "This picture is Mrs Cath Wagner Easton PA & Hackettstown, NJ". This is an early dag, I'm dating it to about 1843. The hallmark on the plate is L.B.B. & Ce 40. The woman is wearing an amazing hand tinted dress and sitting next to a small table with a book on it.. the book has gold painted edges. The dag came to me with its original seals intact but very dirty glass, so I cleaned the original glass, put it back, and resealed it. The outside of the case is stamped, "M.B. BRADY CASEMAKER". Dag is in excellent condition with a tarnish ring and a few tiny mold spiders, but no corrosion, dings, swipes or scratches. There is a small scratch on the outside of the glass. The case is in excellent condition, complete with no repairs.
