Original photo by D.B. Chase, who had studios in Trinidad, Colorado and Santa Fe, New Mexico - I think this was probably taken in Santa Fe, because all of the other photos I picked up with it were in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona Territory. Under magnification I can read "5" and "POLICE" on his badge.. there are words above that I can't quite make out.
