Sixth-plate daguerreotype of a man and woman, identified as Elwood Taber and his wife Maria Copic. I believe this was Thomas Elwood Taber (b.1832), who married Maria Copic in Pedee, Iowa, and they had a daughter, Inis Elnora... but it appears Thomas/Elwood married again at some point.. not sure what happened to Maria.
Original seals are still in place; underside of the glass is a bit dirty and there is a tarnish ring, but condition appears to be excellent. Leather case covers are separated along the spine.
