6th plate daguerreotype, two women wearing bonnets and wraps or shawls... the one on the left is also holding a purse, I believe.
Full, intact case. The dag has been resealed at some point with what looks like clear archival tape. Overall very good antique condition. Under magnification I can see a few small mat abrasions, nothing too serious.. some fuzz trapped under the glass.. a few pinprick sized specks of corrosion on the woman on the left's wrap... I can only
see this under magnification. Also, it's hard to see in my photos but in the very bottom-right corner of the image there is a crimp bend visible.. usually hidden under the mat but in this case is partially visible for reason.
Anything that look like smudges are swipes are on the outside of the glass as well, including the short horizontal lines, which are actually bubbles in the glass.. I don't see any scratches or swipes in the main viewing area, other than the abrasions I mentioned earlier.
Pics taken with my cell phone using flash to reduce reflections.
