Sixth-plate daguerreotype in half case, dressed up little girl, tinted yellow dress, gold jewelry including rings, bracelets, gold buttons or ribbons down the front of her dress and a pinpricked brooch!
The seals that are on it are very old, possibly original, and are unbroken, but there are still several mat abrasions and a couple of small possible scratches, the horizontal one about midway down the right side and a light one across her hand. Weirdly, looking at them under magnification they don't really look like typical scratches to me, but I'm not sure what else they could be, so for the sake of this listing assume they are.
Other than the above, the image is in nice condition.. no swipes, dings or corrosion.
