Sixth-plate daguerreotype, little boy wearing a dress and pantaloons with what looks like an open book in his lap.. I don't think it's a toy, but it could be some sort of wooden folding toy. On the table are definitely some books, as well as his hat which has a large feather in it, maybe from an ostrich.
