6th plate daguerreotype of two siblings holding hands. Affixed to the back of the case is a period note, "Mother + Uncle Albert", and written on the inside of the back of the case is, "Maggie Culbert / Blooming Grove / Orange Co NY". That part is a bit hard to read in person but I have confirmed it 100%.

Margaret Charlotte Culbert Gerow was born on June 4, 1844 and died on January 25, 1925". Her brother Albert, her only sibling, was born in 1846 and died by drowning just a few years after this dag was made, on November 23, 1857. The article about his drowning was found online and is shown here for reference only.... the original article is NOT included.

Dag is in half of a case and is in very good or better condition. The old seals look like they haven't been tampered with, but have sort of dried up and pieces have fallen off over the years.
