Sixth-plate daguerreotype of a man standing in front of a painted backdrop. He's holding his cap in his hand.

Based on the backdrop, trellis and chair, the photographer was Thomas P. Collins, of Westfield, Massachusetts.

I also have listed two other Collins images, two daguerreotype of two girls, out of this same estate. I believe the girls were the little sisters of this man, and likely taken in the same sitting. You can find these dags by searching my listings for "Collins", or just messaging me for the link,

Housed in a very nice, mother-of-pearl "Token" book style case.

The seals are mostly intact.. I haven't taken the dag apart, but I doubt it has ever been opened. The image and the case both appear to be in excellent antique condition.

Boxed Priority Mail.
