Sixth-plate daguerreotype, early-1850s, showing a teen or young man in a tinted blue miner style shirt and tie. From some angles his outer shirt appears to be a very light or faded purple.
Nice, full case. Daguerreotype has no seals but is in overall very good condition. There is a blob of tarnish about halfway down along the right mat edge, tarnish ring, what looks like a small abrasion on his forehead, but looking under magnification I think it's much more likely to be tarnish. The dag has no other issues. There is a vertical bubble in the glass on the left side that might show up in my scan.
Shipping: Choice of First Class mailer or boxed Priority Mail.
