Sixth plate daguerreotype of an elderly man seated next to possibly a window or reflecting screen. Portrait made in the 1840s, so he could have been fighting age during the American Revolution. He looks a bit familiar but there is no identification inside of the case.
Unsealed with most of the original seals still inside of the case. Case cover are separated, one rail missing. The dag itself looks to be in very good antique condition with light tarnish, no scratches, swipes, corrosion or abrasions noted in the main viewing area.
I've added some quick cell phone pics taken in average lighting, uploaded strait to this listing with no editing.
