1/4 daguerreotype of a girl wearing a checked dress, from an Austin, Texas estate.
Original seals still intact. The underside of the glass is dirty, but the plate itself appears to be flawless... I couldn't even find a single mold spider... so all of the spots you see in my pics and scan are on the glass.. If you clean the glass it should clean up beautifully.
Under magnification I can see she's wearing thin, pretty large gold hoop earrings.
Comes in a full case that is complete, though the spine is almost totally
split.
