Quarter-plate, late-1850s daguerreotype of L. Schricker & Co. store, housed in a period thermoplastic wall frame. Loronzo Schricker was a wealthy businessman in Iowa; this store was located on Second Street near Harrison, in Davenport.

The dag is very snug in the frame so I have never removed it, though I do see several small mat abrasions so it's probably no longer sealed. The underside of the glass could use some cleaning and there are areas of haze and tarnish, but I do not see scratches, swipes, dings or corrosion. The frame is 6.5" x 5.5" and is in overall very good antique condition with a few hairline, possibly repaired cracks.
