Quarter-plate daguerreotype of three men, standing in front of a possible painted backdrop (I think I might see clouds, but not positive). From a Massachusetts seller, this dag was wrapped in old newspaper from Boston, MA, so it could have been taken in that area.
Dag is uncased, but the original seals are still unbroken. There is one light ding in the upper-left background, otherwise the plate looks excellent - the underside of the glass is dirty and the vast majority of the specks and debris seen appear to be stuck to it, though I did notice a small mold spider or two. Image would improve a lot of the glass was cleaned but I did not want to break the seals.
