somebody or something off camera. Husband is looking directly at camera and holding a shiny top hat in his lap... not sure what the child is holding.. an open newspaper?
Tarnish ring; no damage noted. The thin curved line touching the child might look like a scratch in my scan, but I don't believe it is. When I received this dag it still had its original unbroken seals in place and the line was already there... I opened the seals to clean the dirty glass. It also does not appear to be a scratch under magnification. Dag is now unsealed with all of the original seals inside the case. Upper-left corner of the preserver is broken but the dag sits securely in the case.
