Original 1/4 ambrotype of a pretty woman wearing bands on her wrists. Behind original mat and glass in a hanging wall frame... looks like tiger maple or something similar but I’m unsure. Frame is 5.5" x 4.75".
Ambrotype appears to be in very good antique condition. When viewing at an angle you can see some light areas that seem to be from when the black paint on the back of the glass is flaking.. the image emulsion itself appears to be stable, not flaking, and undamaged, however. I am offering exactly as purchased several years ago.. I have never even removed the nails.
