Great quarter-plate ambrotype of a family on the front porch of their house! The woman is seated in a chair with what looks like a little white toy dog on her lap, and her husband is on the front steps, with his son standing on his leg. A great family portrait.
Housed in its original theromoplastic union case with Littlefield & Parsons label still inside. Case is about 5" tall when closed. Ambro is behind a heavy brass mat and cover glass, and has a few minor condition issues, mainly some scuffs / mat abrasions, which should be visible in my photos. The case is overall pretty nice with minor edge chips.
This is a clear glass ambrotype with the back of the glass painted black to bring the image out. Some of the paint on the back is flaking, which is common and not considered damage, but those areas are visible on the front as light spots, like what is visible on her dress. My camera photos probably came out a bit blurry, but the actual image is fine. If you have any questions please contact me before purchasing.
