Early-1860s tintype of a boy with longish hair, wearing painted gold rings on each hand, and holding what appears to be a bunched up handkerchief. On the back of the case he is identified as Joseph Young Roberts. Roberts was born in Missouri in 1851, moving Navarro County, Texas at a young age, and dying there in 1929.

Ninth-plate tintype behind original mat and glass in half of a case. Tintype is in very good antique condition.
