Original early-1860s, 1/6 plate tintype of a little boy dressed in a Civil War Zouaves uniform. The original hand tinting is still visible, though slightly faded. Pic #1 shows the image taken in daylight with my cellphone and uploaded directly to this listing with NO editing.. this is what it will look like when you view it in good lighting.
The tintype is behind its original brass mat and in half of a case. There is no cover glass. In good or better antique condition with light surface wear and age-related spotting.
