Original 1/4 tintype of a very old woman holding what appears to be a sampler. This was out of the Andrew Gregg Curtin estate, who was a Civil War era politician: Pennsylvania Governor, United States Diplomat and Congressman. This woman is not identified, but doing some research on the family it was possible she was Curtin's aunt, Barbara Jane Curtin (1777-1869).
Tintype is in VG antique condition overall with some light bends, not sure how well they came out in my pics, but they are not heavy. Behind mat and glass in full case with separated covers.
