Original c.1875 CDV of Josie Langmaid, who was murdered. 17-year-old Josie was a student at Pembroke Academy in NH when she disappeared on Oct 4, 1875.. That night her mutilated body was found in the woods near the school. The next day her head was found one half mile away.
CDV is 4 1/8" by about 2 1/2" - the left edge is slightly trimmed, otherwise it's in very good antique condition.
The back was produced blank.. there is a price written back there in light pencil: "£150".
