Two original 6.5" x 4.25" cabinet cards of the same man, in his NYNG uniform and in civilian clothing. Probably taken in the same sitting by New York photographer O'Neil.

Based on researching the other names in the album these were taken from, I believe the identification of Joshua M. Varian, Jr. (1842-1906) is accurate.

I found two military record cards online with his ranks and service through the years - he was a Captain in the Civil War and a Brigadier General in the NYNG. Note that the service cards are NOT included in this auction, they are just shown here for reference.

Cabinet cards are in very good antique condition with some foxing.

Shipping: First Class mailer or boxed Priority Mail.
