6th plate daguerreotype in a velvet book style folding case with a lock and etched silver lock plate.The edges of the case are lined in painted gold paper.
The case has some issues, mainly being that the top cover is barely held on. The dag has most of its original seals, though they have been broken and the plate has a couple of very light swipes and one slightly heavier swipe on his sleeve and a small scratch on his lapel.
