6th plate ambrotype of a beautiful fashionable woman seated with herb elbow resting on a table. She's wearing a lot of gold painted jewelry, and her cheeks and the tablecloth both have some light tinting left.
This is a clear glass ambrotype with the back of the glass painted black, as well as a piece of velvet inside of the case. The image is in very good antique condition overall, behind mat and cover glass. Some bits of the black paint on the backing glass are flaking off, but this is not damage to the image itself. Some small mat abrasions are visible.
