Original 6.5" x 4" tintype of a young man posing with this high wheel bike. On the back is a location and date, "Chelsea, September 6, 1884". Also: "17 yrs". Location was almost certainly Chelsea, Massachusetts because this came from a Mass estate. A popular photographer in Chelsea at this time was Mr. Samuel Taylor, so this could have been taken at his studio.
Very good antique condition overall with a few light bends.
A great penny farthing image, in a very hard to find size.
