Very rare (unlisted?) oval velvet photo case, ninth-plate, with a painting of a woman embedded on its cover. Case is in very good antique condition, complete and with functioning hardware. Light wear to the velvet, mostly on the hard edges. Original preserver and glass included. From certain angles there are areas of lightness / age spots / possibly air bubbles, visible on the portrait, trapped underneath the celluloid, but when viewing normally they don't detract. Light wear to the silk. |
