Nice banded leather case with an ambrotype of a man holding a document. Case is 5.25" x 4.5" when closed, so I guess that's somewhere between 1/4 and 1/2 plate? I don't know.
The case is in excellent old condition. The ambrotype is very snug so I didn't want to try to take it out of the case, and I don't know if there is a label or anything else behind there.
