Original 1/6 tintype of a man smoking a cigar, and showing off a gold nugget ring and tie pin. Found in an envelope shown. Canon City, Colorado was laid out on January 17, 1858, during the Pike's Peak Gold Rush. Not sure what the dates on the envelops mean, possibly the approximate date this man died? ... but this tintype is definitely early-1860s.
Tintype is uncased behind mat and glass and in Good antique condition. Surface looks a little bumpy or rough at some angles but does not appear to be deteriorating and is stable and not flaking at all. Envelope is included.
Boxed shipping.
