1/6 daguerreotype. No ID of sitter or photographer, but other images from the same lot this came out of were from Philadelphia & New York studios. Eagle design on mat, scarce or rare embossed case. Full case and old seals. I did not verify, but because there is a small scratch at the bottom of the image and some tiny mat abrasions, I assume the seals are original and broken or an older reseal. The case covers are still attached, but barely.
