Original cabinet card of a woman from Deadwood, South Dakota, taken in the 1890s.
It's probably hard to see in my scan (it's very easy to see in person), but the photographer's studio info is imprinted on the bottom of the mount: "H.R. Locke & Co., Deadwood, So. Dakota. This studio was known for its photos of several famous outlaws, gunfighters, Native Americans, and western figures, including Calamity Jane.
The cabinet card is 6.5" x 4.25" and the back is blank.
