Rare original cabinet card of RADM Charles Stuart Norton (1836-1911), South Atlantic Station. Norton was commanding the flagship Newark, with Captain Yates Stirling (offered in a separate listing) serving under him.
Photographed by John Fitz-Patrick of Montevideo, Uruguay. I believe this was taken around March of 1895, the same time as Stirling's photo.
Signed by Norton on the back, in pen.
Cabinet card is 6.5" x 4.25" on a thick mount. Very good or better antique condition.. other than some light foxing and a round stain, there are no damages.
