Original CDV of Samuel Augustus Main (1839-1900), musician, Co. E , 23rd CT Volunteers. He is identified on the back.. "Samuel" is hard to read, "Main" is pretty clear.... but this came out of the John North Main family album and this soldier was identified as Samuel Main in the index. CDV is 3.75" x 2.5" and in very good antique condition overall, though the bottom is trimmed.
