A lot of two images, a 1/9 tintype of a Civil War soldier and 1/9 ambrotype of his wife housed in union cases. They are identified inside of the cases with little clippings of newspaper as Horace Fritz and his wife Anna.

Fritz (1833-1886) was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in Robertson's Independent Pennsylvania Light Artillery Militia battery on September 12, 1862. He served until he was mustered out on September 23, 1862.

He was then commissioned as a 1st Lieutenant in Fitzki's Independent Pennsylvania Light Artillery Militia battery on July 6, 1863, and served until he wad mustered out on August 24, 1863.

Anna Elizabeth ā€œAnnieā€ Rex Fritz was born in 1839 and died in 1913.Ā
