Quarter-plate daguerreotype in full case. He is not identified but based on other images in the same collection this came from, it’s possible he was Captain Samuel Low (1771-1863) - I base this primarily on an identified dag in the collection of Low’s sister, Barbara Low Littlefield. Dag is in excellent antique condition. It has been resealed with archival tape and all of the original seals are still inside is the case. Leather case is in VG condition with weak spine.
