Original half-plate tintype of a Confederate Texas officer, standing next to a column with what appear to be a tinted Texas flag wrapped around it. It could also be a regimental flag, like the one shown in picture 3, which I believe belonged to the 5th or 6th Texas Infantry.

Although not identified, based on family history of previous owner, he is believed to possibly be one of the Spurlock brothers: William Jackson Spurlock, 3rd Lt. in Capt. James Gautney Collier's Co. D, 11th Battalion of Texas Volunteers, Captain and Quartermaster under Colonel Ashley W. Spaight, killed in battle at Fordoche Bayou, Fordoche, Pointe Coupee, Parish, LA. ..... or his brother Lt. Patrick Henry Spurlock, Texas 11th Battalion of Volunteers, Co. D. Patrick also served as a Lt. in the 21st Texas Inf., Co. K (Col. Ashley Spaight's Regiment).

Tintype is behind mat and glass and in excellent antique condition in full thermoplastic case. Case is in VG antique condition overall with loss of velvet on the pad and some minor chips.

Shipping: Express / Next Day, probably FedEx, but TBD.
