Great original, early Kodak #1, circa 1890-1892, showing two African American boys playing to the camera. The diameter of the round part of the image is 2 5/8"; the mount is 5 1/4" x 4 1/4". Although there is no information accompanying this image, I have others from this same collection, including these same boys taken on the same day, with a note that came with the collection identifying the location as Spartanburg, North Carolina - so this station (note the building and tracks behind the boys) was probably either in Spartanburg itself or the surrounding areas. Image is a shade overexposed but nice, and in excellent antique condition.
