Rare 6th plate ambrotype photo of an open book showing an engraved portrait of the
American engineer inventor Robert Fulton. The original painting of Fulton was done
by Benjamin West in 1826, the engraving by George Parker in the 1830s or 1840s, and
this ambrotype was made around 1860-1862.
My camera photo (pic #1) did not come out great.. those faint vertical lines are NOT on the actual image.
Ambrotype is still sealed and in excellent condition in its original case, which is
complete and in very good antique condition.
